Sustainability

JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” has determined the essential sustainability aspects, taking into consideration the objectives, fundamental values and directions of action specified in the Medium-term Operational Strategy, as well as the opinion of influential parties, and following the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. These aspects are primarily related to achievement of the following Sustainable Development Objectives set by the United Nations, in implementation of which JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” has direct and significant impact.



JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” has identified the stakeholders, taking into consideration both own impact on the stakeholders, and the impact of stakeholders on JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” in achievement of objectives.  


Both the opinion of employees of the Company, and the vision of external stakeholders is taken into consideration in identifying the essential sustainability aspects and management of sustainability matters. To establish the opinion of stakeholders about the most essential sustainability aspects in the operations of JSC “Pasažieru vilciens”, we conducted a survey of stakeholders and questionnaire of key stakeholders in late 2022 and early 2023.

On a daily basis, communication of JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” with stakeholders takes place at the level of consultations, negotiations, involvement and/or partnership.

On 28 April 2023, on the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” joined the social initiative “Mission Zero”.
