Route scheme (zoning)
From April 1, 2024, the zonal tariffs is simplified.
Only full zones are saved, canceling all intermediate zones. There are five tariff zones on the Aizkraukle route, four tariff zones on the Tukums route, three tariff zones each on the Skulte, Sigulda and Jelgava route. The zones change at stops, for example, on the Tukums route, the zones change at the Smārde, Vaivari and Babīte stops.
When moving within the zones, the price of train tickets consists of a trip start fee of 0.50 euros and a fare of 0.50 euros in the zone, and within the city of Riga – 1.00 euros (also using two trains on two routes).
