JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” introduces a new website www.vivi.lv and mobile app “Vivi Latvija”, launching several functionalities that make planning of train trips and ticket purchase more convenient. In addition to the possibility of creating a personalised profile, passengers can view an interactive train route map. In this map everyone can find information about the location of trains in real-time mode, allowing to ensure whether the chosen train runs according to the schedule, and select another type of transport for getting to the destination in case of significant train delay.
Taking care of passengers who have electronically purchased tickets for several days, one-way or two-way subscription tickets for working days of the month, subscription tickets for all days of the month, during their validity period until 20 December, also the previous website of “Pasažieru vilciens” www.pv.lv and the app “Pasažieru vilciens” will be available.
On the interactive map, passengers can obtain real-time information about the train number, route, departure time from the starting station, and the status –running according to the schedule or delayed (the estimated arrival time at the next stop is indicated; if delayed, the number of minutes delayed is specified, and the estimated time of arrival at the terminal station is indicated) – of a train en-route or awaiting passengers at the station. The map is available both on mobile devices, and on a computer.
For more convenient purchase of tickets both on the website, and by using the app, passengers will have to create their own user account. The registration will ensure the possibility not only to purchase tickets, but also to save the favourite routes for more convenient ticket purchase and enable other personalised settings to make trips even more convenient. For example, passengers will be able to use discount codes, automatically send tickets to family members or friends, access the ticket purchase history and save a report, receive information about changes in the train schedule along the selected train route lines.
“Vivi Latvija” app is available for downloading at GooglePlay, AppStore and AppGallery.
